PRIVATE VOICE LESSONS
RMS choir students can take optional voice lessons to boost their skills outside of regular class. This private instruction opportunity is provided by 2 dedicated and successful performers and educators with a track record of musical excellence. These sessions focus on solo vocal music rather than the music we sing together in choir. Participation is highly encouraged. It is completely optional, however everyone is welcome to join. INSTRUCTORS
Kyle Barker is a versatile tenor and educator built on a foundation of technical excellence and a passion for vocal artistry. A Texas Christian University and Collin College music education alumnus, Kyle most recently served as Head Choir Director at Carpenter Middle School, where his students regularly placed in All-Region Honor Choirs and his ensembles consistently earned prestigious UIL Sweepstakes honors.
An active performer throughout the DFW metroplex, Kyle specializes in classical music and opera while effortlessly crossing into jazz, musical theatre, and pop. He currently serves as the Tenor Section Leader for Highland Park Presbyterian Church and is a featured member of the Highland Park Chorale. Outside the classical world, Kyle is a multi-instrumentalist who plays drums in a band, and he balances his creative life through cooking and video games.
Audrey Reidling is a dynamic soprano and creative force who thrives at the intersection of Opera and Musical Theatre. A West Texas A&M University vocal performance alumna, her extensive stage credits include Texas! The Outdoor Musical, Allen Contemporary Theater, and Lakeshore Company Theater.
Audrey is a seasoned Music Director, Choreographer, and educator at the Dallas Academy of Music and Performing Arts (DAMPA) and Plano ISD, where her students regularly place in the Region 25 Honor Choirs. Her artistic direction has been recognized by the Dallas Summer Musicals (DSM) Awards and the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. Classically trained yet deeply influenced by pop, jazz, and country, Audrey teaches her students to break out of "genre boxes" by prioritizing characterization and authentic storytelling.
